OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THE CONTEST (“Contest”). By entering into the Contest, each contestant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these official rules (“Official Rules”) and the decisions of Durham College Office of Development and Alumni Affairs, which shall be final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest.

The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal rules and regulations.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible to enter in the Contest, entries must be received by Durham College by 11:59.59 a.m. (EST) on Tuesday, April 30 ("Entry Deadline") and must meet these eligibility requirements:

Individuals must be alumni of Durham College who are allowed to participate in college events before Entry Deadline, 11:59.59 a.m. (EST) on Tuesday, April 30th.

CONTEST PERIOD

Subject to the Contest Rules, the Contest begins on Friday, April 5th at 9:00 a.m. and ends on Tuesday, April 30th at 11:59.59 a.m. (ET); after which time the Contest will be closed and no further entries shall be accepted.

HOW TO ENTER

To enter the Contest:

Download the DC Alumni Connect app through the Apple app store or Google play store.

Sign up for a DC Alumni Connect account.

ONCE YOU RECEIVE AN EMAIL FROM THE DC ALUMNI CONNECT ADIMINSTRATOR, VISIT THE CONTEST PAGE ON THE DC ALUMNI CONNECT APP

Select the contest that you would like to enter.

Review and agree to the contest rules and regulations.

All entries must be completed by the Entry Deadline of 11:59.59 a.m. (EST) on Tuesday, April 30th.

Entries are limited to one (1) per person, per account.

Durham College is not responsible for late, lost, incomplete or misdirected entries, or for electronic, network, computer, hardware, software or technical malfunctions, failures or difficulties.

PRIZES

Prizes: There will be one prize as part of the contest.

Winner will receive a DC Prize Pack. Prize is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash.

Winner will be notified by Durham College via the phone number and/or the email address provided by Winner at time of entry and by posting Winners names via social media. Privacy statement: In accordance with Chapter F.31, Part III of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, R.S.O. 1990, the personal information of Winner is collected and retained under the legal authority of the O. Reg. 34/03 of the Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology Act, 2002 and may be used and/or disclosed for administrative (including marketing), information technology, law enforcement, statistical and/or research purposes of the College and/or the ministries and agencies of the Government of Ontario and the Government of Canada. Durham College reserves the right to amend these Official Rules, or terminate, suspend or modify the Contest, at its sole discretion at any time.

INDEMNIFICATION BY ENTRANT

By entering the Contest, entrant releases and holds Durham College, its directors and employees harmless from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to the entrant or any other person, including personal injury, death, or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any participation in the Contest, any breach of the Contest Rules, or in any Contest-related activity. The entrant agrees to fully indemnify Durham College from any and all claims by third parties relating to the Contest, without limitation.

SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM

This Contest is in no way sponsored, administered or endorsed by Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and/or any social media platforms on which the Contest may have been promoted and/or publicized. Automated Instagram, Facebook or Twitter posts or votes sent via a bot will be disqualified. Automated and/or repetitive electronic submissions (including but not limited to entries made using any script, macro, bot or Contest service) will be automatically disqualified and transmissions from these or related social media accounts may be blocked. Participants acknowledge the non-responsibility of Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, and their officers, directors, employees and agents with regards to all aspects of the Contest. Participants understand that all contest information is provided to Durham College and not to Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.

CONDUCT

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE CONTEST WEBSITE OR ANY RELATED WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
